When your Plex client is integrated with your computer, you will be able to access your libraries and content. When prompted by systemctl for a status update, enter plexmediaserver into the systemctl box. Windows, Mac, Linux, and NAS are all compatible operating systems in addition to Plex Media Server. Wait about 2 minutes for Windows to boot up before you begin working on it to ensure that all critical services are operational. How do I check if Plex is running on Linux? How do I start Plex? The Automatically setting can be found immediately after the Start the application field option in the computer boots window. By pressing the Command Line button, you can access all of your libraries and media content from the Plex client. You must have it installed on the same computer as the one you purchased. If there are no devices connected, Plex is not running. Finally, you can check the Plex website to see if any devices are currently connected to your Plex server. If the icon is not present, Plex is not running. Another way to check if Plex is running is to look for the Plex icon in the notification area of your desktop. First, you can open a terminal window and type in the following command: ps -aux | grep -i plex If Plex is running, you should see a line of output that includes the word “plex.” If you don’t see any output, or if the output doesn’t include the word “plex,” then Plex is not running.
